Benefits of receiving in-home care

According to a study published in Research in Gerontological Nursing in 2012, aging in place in the comfort of your own home confers many benefits. Living at home not only allows for freedom and independence, but it is also associated with faster healing and decreased hospital admissions.

We understand that caring for yourself and your home isn’t always easy. At Home Care of Arizona, we work with clients with different types of needs to make staying in their own home a reality.

Who do we help?

While we serve a large number of senior clients, our list does not stop there. We also help adults with specials needs and disabilities. We assist those with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and dementia. We also help those with limited mobility as a result of injury or surgery.

It can be difficult to ask for help with everyday concerns, like bathing or grocery shopping. Our sensitive caregivers help your loved one maintain his or her dignity while providing needed assistance.

Assisted Living Placement

Assisted Living Placement- We Have You Covered! Making the decision to leave your home is not an easy one, so we aim to make the process as smooth as possible. At Home Care of Arizona, we pride ourselves on our step-by-step approach to Assisted Living placement.

We start by talking. We prefer to visit you at your home so we can get to know you better. If you’d rather talk by phone, we’re happy to do that too. During our chat, we will ask you about:  Your living preferences: what does your ideal senior living situation look like? What area of Maricopa County do you prefer?

  • Do you want a kitchen of your own, or do you prefer to have meals prepared for you?
  • Your medical needs: do you need help with medication reminders? Frequent transportation to doctor appointments?
  • Your interests: do you enjoy socializing? Or do you prefer peace and quiet?
  • Your budget: we will help you assess all of your funding options so you can enjoy the lifestyle you want.

We match your information with ours:
We have personally researched and visited every facility we recommend.

We only consider care facilities that have met our standards.

Discuss the assisted living facilities:

  • We will explain why we believe our selections best meet your requests.
  • Arrange tours: This is a great opportunity to see the living arrangements in person. We will accompany you there, as well.
  • Make sure all your questions are answered: As this process unfolds, you may think of additional questions. Can you bring your own furnishings? Are pets allowed? Are meals provided at set times?

You pick the place that feels right. We help you get there.

Can we assist you with the following?

  • Finding a realtor.
  • Hiring a moving company.
  • Settling in on move-in day.

Our involvement continues indefinitely. You can expect us to:

  • Contact you within 1 week to make sure all your needs are being met.
  • Check in periodically throughout the year as to follow up on any changes.
  • Be available when you need. You can call us at any time. Your happiness is our priority.

From our clients to their families to the facilities we connect with building strong relationships is the cornerstone of our company.

All of our caregivers have been pre-screened via a background check, are CPR and First Aid certified, and have at least 1 year of professional caregiving experience.

We provide home care when you need it. We will work with you to create a personalized schedule. If you need help nights, weekends, or even holidays, you can count on us. You can request our assistance for as little as 4 hours a day or 24 hour live-in care if needed.

What if I already receive home health care?

Home health care only covers a limited scope of services -- and only those that must be performed by a skilled provider, like a nurse. For example, home health care will cover wound dressing changes but it will not cover bathing assistance. Also, insurance often authorizes only a set number of hours of home health care.

Very often, a person who requires home health care also needs assistance with activities of daily living, such as grooming and meal preparation. That’s where we come in. We help bridge the gap between home health care and non-medical care. By providing you with the extra hours of assistance to carry out the activities of daily life, we are the perfect complement to home health care.
