Benefits of receiving in home care

According to a study published in Research in Gerontological Nursing in 2012, aging in place in the comfort of your own home confers many benefits. Living at home not only allows for freedom and independence, but it is also associated with faster healing and decreased hospital admissions.

We understand that caring for yourself and your home isn’t always easy. At Home Care of Arizona, we work with clients with different types of needs to make staying in their own home a reality.

Who do we help?

While we serve a large number of senior clients, our list does not stop there. We also help adults with specials needs and disabilities. We assist those with conditions such as Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and dementia. We can also help those with limited mobility as a result of injury or surgery.

It can be difficult to ask for help with everyday concerns, like bathing or grocery shopping. Our sensitive caregivers help your loved one maintain his or her dignity while providing needed assistance.

We provide home care when you need it. We will work with you to create a personalized schedule. If you need help nights, weekends, or even holidays, you can count on us. You can request our assistance for as little as 4 hours a day or 24 hour live-in care if needed.

What if I already receive home health care?

Home health care only covers a limited scope of services — and only those that must be performed by a skilled provider, like a nurse. For example, home health care will cover wound dressing changes but it will not cover bathing assistance. Also, insurance often authorizes only a set number of hours of home health care.

Very often, a person who requires home health care also needs assistance with activities of daily living, such as grooming and meal preparation. That’s where we come in. We help bridge the gap between home health care and non-medical care. By providing you with the extra hours of assistance to carry out the activities of daily life, we are the perfect complement to home health care.
